Star of the Week - Lil Co

At Organic Business Network, part of the creative ecosystem built by Melodic Playground Radio, the mission has always been simple: discover real talent, celebrate authentic voices, and give independent creators the platform they deserve. This week, we are proud to shine the spotlight on an artist who embodies creativity in its purest form. Corey Watson, the Charlotte, North Carolina visionary known as Lil Co, has officially been selected as our 48th Star of the Week.

Lil Co is far more than just another independent artist releasing music online. He is a singer, songwriter, performer, and dancer, a multi-dimensional creative who approaches his craft like a storyteller painting emotion across sound and motion. His work is rooted in authenticity, individuality, and a fearless willingness to challenge the ordinary. That fearless creativity is exactly why his newest project, “Dominion,” has generated such anticipation among listeners who appreciate music with depth and purpose.

Released on Friday the 6th, Dominion is not simply an album—it is a complete artistic statement. While many artists focus only on streaming numbers and quick singles, Lil Co has taken a different path. He has transformed his project into a 30-minute cinematic visual experience, turning the album into a short film that blends music, storytelling, performance, and visual symbolism into one cohesive piece of art.

The result is a powerful multimedia experience where Lil Co expresses a bold and rebellious message rooted in humanity. Through Dominion, he explores themes of freedom, individuality, and love, presenting a narrative that challenges the world to remember what truly matters. It’s a declaration of independence from conformity and a reminder that creativity can still carry meaning.

In the visual film version of the project, Lil Co’s presence as a performer and dancer becomes just as important as his voice. Each movement, scene, and lyric feels intentional, creating a layered experience that allows listeners to connect with the message beyond just the music itself. This approach places Lil Co among a growing wave of independent artists who refuse to stay inside the traditional boundaries of the industry.

For DJ Meladik, founder of Melodic Playground Radio and the voice behind Organic Business Network, artists like Lil Co represent exactly what the platform was created to support. Independent creators who are willing to take risks, invest in their vision, and deliver something real to the audience are the heartbeat of the underground scene.

That is why Lil Co has earned this week’s Star of the Week recognition.

The selection not only celebrates the release of Dominion, but also highlights the bold artistic direction Corey Watson has chosen to pursue. Turning an album into a film requires creativity, dedication, and a clear vision for storytelling—qualities that define the best independent artists working today.

With excitement building around the project, DJ Meladik is also preparing for an upcoming interview with Lil Co, where listeners will have the chance to hear directly from the artist about the inspiration behind Dominion, the meaning behind the visuals, and the journey that led to the creation of this ambitious release.

Melodic Playground Radio is currently reviewing the new music for potential daily rotation, giving fans across the network the opportunity to discover Lil Co’s work and experience the energy behind this groundbreaking project.

One thing is certain: Dominion is not just a release—it’s a statement. And if this project is any indication of where Corey Watson is headed, Lil Co is only getting started.

Congratulations to Lil Co, our 48th Star of the Week, for bringing bold vision, fearless creativity, and a powerful message to the independent music world.

Star of the Week - Jerry Ben Israel

When you’ve been in this game long enough, you develop a certain instinct. You learn how to tell the difference between artists who are chasing attention and artists who are carrying assignments. Hype fades fast — purpose lasts. That’s exactly why we’re proud to announce Jerry Ben Israel as the 40th Star of the Week in the Melodic Playground Organic Business Network.

This network wasn’t built on shortcuts or clout. It was built on relationships, authenticity, and organic growth. We spotlight individuals who stand on something real — creatives, entrepreneurs, and artists who understand that legacy matters more than momentary buzz. Jerry Ben Israel fits that mold perfectly.

Hailing from the Atlanta music ecosystem — a city known for shaping culture on a global level — Jerry represents a powerful lane of hip-hop that refuses to compromise its foundation. Atlanta has always been a city where business, hustle, and creativity intersect. It’s a proving ground. Survival of the realest. Jerry Ben Israel is a product of that environment: disciplined, intentional, and unapologetic about his faith.

His recent body of work speaks volumes. The Gospel of Jerry Ben Israel isn’t just a project title — it’s a mission statement. Alongside releases like Kingdom Vibes and the single All On Me, Jerry has been steadily building a catalog rooted in accountability, scripture, and spiritual awareness. This isn’t music designed to distract — it’s music designed to wake people up.

What stands out most is consistency of purpose. Jerry’s message doesn’t shift with trends. His sound may evolve, but the foundation stays solid. In a time when many artists are afraid to stand for anything definitive, Jerry Ben Israel is firm in his convictions. That level of clarity is rare, and it’s exactly what our network values.

As the 40th Star of the Week, Jerry Ben Israel officially joins a growing list of creatives we believe in long-term. This spotlight isn’t about a single post or a temporary feature — it’s about integration into a community that supports growth the right way.

As part of this activation, Jerry Ben Israel is now: Officially added to Melodic Playground Radio rotation. Being supported through our street team promotion, both online and offline. Gearing up for an in-depth interview to introduce his story, vision, and mission to the wider network

This is strategic alignment, not random exposure.

The Organic Business Network exists to amplify voices that matter — voices that bring value, clarity, and intention into the culture. Jerry Ben Israel’s message is important right now. Faith, discipline, accountability, and spiritual awareness aren’t always celebrated in hip-hop spaces, but they are necessary. Jerry is helping restore that balance.

To our network members, partners, and listeners: take the time to really listen. Not just to the beats, but to the message. Support with intention. Share with purpose.

Jerry Ben Israel isn’t here by accident. 40th Star of the Week. Welcome to our indie music family.

Star of the Week 39 - Moo You

Organic Business Network was DJ Meladik's idea, He wanted to train me how to run a company from scratch and something that would be mine but that was when we thought it was impossible for me to have a baby. Life has changed and Organic Business Network and Melodic Playground will continue to  shine a spotlight on an those that deserve it...This week is beautiful and bittersweet at the same time Because today, I celebrate not only our Star of the Week, the Houston rapper Moo-You, but also share my own heartfelt farewell as I step back from my role as an indie music publicist to focus on a new chapter of my life — motherhood.

So let’s start where all great stories start: with the music.

Moo-You is the kind of rapper you discover once… and then immediately wonder where he has been hiding all this time. He’s a Houston native through and through — carrying that Texas grit, that down-south soul, and that unshakeable honesty that defines some of hip hop’s greatest storytellers. DJ Meladik says " He reminds me of ScarFace and UGK "

But what sets Moo-You apart isn’t just his Style, his voice or lyrics. It’s his intent.

He raps like he has something to prove, but more importantly, something to preserve: the heart of real hip hop.

His impressive catalog — from “Nothing” to “Namaste,” to the thunderous and cinematic “Coming Down” — shows a man who isn’t chasing trends. He’s carving out a lane that’s entirely his own. Emotional without being fragile, confident without being cocky, spiritual without being preachy — Moo-You balances artistry with humanity in a way that hits you right in the chest.

This is why when his music landed in my inbox, I knew instantly he was special. And clearly, Melodic Playground Radio is showing love.

It brings me so much joy to officially announce that Moo-You is now part of the Melodic Playground Radio family. His sound is now in daily rotation, flowing across the airwaves of a station that’s quickly becoming the nucleus of independent music discovery.

Melodic Playground Radio has always prioritized the artists who put in real work — the scribblers, the dreamers, the late-night creators who pour soul into every decibel. And Moo-You fits this blueprint with perfection. His sound elevates the station, while the station amplifies his voice. It’s a partnership that feels destined.

Moo-You’s feature in Melodic Playground Magazine marks another major milestone. His article captures not only the talent behind the mic but the man behind the mission. It highlights the layers, the grit, the introspection, and the relentless drive that has shaped his music. Many artists talk about “the grind,” but Moo-You actually lives it — and it shows in every bar.

Seeing him grace those pages feels symbolic. It feels like the beginning of a long, well-deserved climb.

Now comes the part I’ve tried to rehearse in my mind, but no amount of rewriting makes it easier to say:

This is my final post for Organic Business Network… for now.

Life has shifted in the most magical way. I am now the proud mother of baby Lyric, a tiny miracle with a name that feels like destiny in a family rooted in melody and storytelling. And with this blessing comes the need to pause, breathe, and give my full heart to motherhood.

It’s not goodbye forever. It’s just “see you later.” But stepping away from this platform — from you, from these artists, from the excitement of discovering raw talent — tugs at my heartstrings.

To DJ Meladik, the visionary behind the Melodic Playground movement: thank you.

Thank you for trusting my voice.
Thank you for believing in the writers behind the music as much as the artists themselves.
Thank you for building a space where indie creators don’t just exist — they thrive.

I am certain you will continue to take this movement to the moon — and maybe even further — so baby Lyric can one day look back and see that the legacy continued without hesitation. You are the heartbeat of this community, and I know the future is brighter than ever.

So here we are: celebrating the rise of Moo-You while closing a very special chapter in my own life. The emotions are swirling — pride, joy, nostalgia, gratitude — but above all, I feel hope. Hope for the artists who continue to show up with passion. Hope for the listeners who still crave authenticity. Hope for the movement Melodic Playground Radio represents.

And to Moo-You — congratulations, truly. You earned this moment, and I believe it’s just the beginning.

With love, gratitude, and a heart full of melody,

Stars of the Week - Bent Band

The Organic Business Network is proud to announce Bent, the electrifying Memphis rock band, as this week’s Stars of the Week. Known for their raw energy, powerful stage presence, and undeniable musicianship, Bent has quickly become one of the most talked-about independent bands in the region. Fresh off a standout performance at the Delta Fair in Cordova, Tennessee, the group has proven that they are more than just another local act—they are a force poised for bigger stages and broader recognition.

Bent has carved out a reputation for delivering performances that leave crowds breathless. Their lineup—Dragon on lead guitar and vocals, Edge on lead vocals and bass, Heath on keys, vocals, and guitar, and Craig on drums—brings together four seasoned musicians who share a deep love for authentic rock and roll. Each member brings their own unique flair, but together they form a cohesive unit that thrives on passion, energy, and connection with their audience.

At the Delta Fair, Bent showcased exactly why they stand out in the Memphis music scene. Their mix of hard-hitting originals and dynamic covers resonated with fans of all ages, while their stage presence demanded attention from start to finish. The crowd’s response was clear: Bent is here to stay.

The band’s live reputation isn’t their only calling card. Recently, Bent has earned a well-deserved feature on Melodic Playground Radio, where their tracks “See What I See” and “Maximum Destruction” have been gaining traction. For a station that prides itself on variety and innovation, Bent has injected a fresh dose of energy that aligns perfectly with the platform’s mission to showcase rising independent talent.

“See What I See” demonstrates the band’s ability to balance gritty emotion with melodic drive, capturing listeners with both intensity and vulnerability. Meanwhile, “Maximum Destruction” highlights Bent’s harder edge—a powerhouse anthem fueled by roaring guitar riffs and thundering percussion. Together, these songs reveal a band capable of versatility while still maintaining a consistent identity rooted in unapologetic rock.

Their feature on Melodic Playground Radio has not only expanded their fan base but also positioned them as a band that can seamlessly transition from the live stage to radio rotation. This is no small feat for an indie rock group competing against both mainstream acts and a flood of AI-generated content.

With their growing recognition, Bent stands at the threshold of an exciting future. The Memphis rock scene has always been fertile ground for innovative talent, but Bent’s presence brings something particularly special. Their dedication to authentic, high-energy music fills a gap in today’s landscape—where originality and raw passion are sometimes overshadowed by manufactured sounds.

Looking ahead, the band plans to continue expanding their reach through more live shows, original releases, and collaborations. Their trajectory suggests that regional success is only the beginning. If their momentum continues, it won’t be long before Bent becomes a name recognized well beyond the Memphis area.

At the core of Bent’s rise is a reminder of why independent music matters. Their story reflects the resilience and creativity of artists who are committed to building something real—without shortcuts, without pretense, and without losing their voice. The recognition they’ve received, from rocking the Delta Fair stage to earning airplay on Melodic Playground Radio, highlights the impact that grassroots support and dedicated artistry can achieve.

As this week’s Stars of the Week, Bent embodies the spirit of the Organic Business Network: hardworking, talented, and committed to growth. They remind us that live music is still alive and well, that rock still has a pulse, and that independent artists have the power to move audiences in unforgettable ways.

At Organic Business Network, we shine our brightest light on those who are setting the standard, not chasing the trend. This week, we’re proud to name Kelvin McCutcheon as our Star of the Week — a powerful and soulful R&B voice emerging from the depths of Florida’s underground scene and quickly rising to international recognition.

Kelvin McCutcheon isn’t just another name on the playlist — he’s the heartbeat of a new era in soul and R&B. With vocals that grip your spirit and lyrics that move your emotions, Kelvin is redefining what it means to be a true independent artist. His music is raw, melodic, spiritual, and deeply human. Every note he delivers carries a message of truth — not manufactured by AI, not faked by bots, but born out of real life, real pain, real passion.

Florida has always been a goldmine for underground talent, especially in genres like R&B, soul, hip-hop, and gospel. From Miami to Orlando to the hidden neighborhoods that never make the headlines, the Sunshine State continues to produce artists who carry rich stories and generational rhythm in their bones. Kelvin is one of those rare finds — a diamond in the rough who’s stepping confidently into the light.

Since joining the Melodic Playground family, Kelvin’s music has exploded onto the indie radio airwaves. He’s in daily rotation on Melodic Playground Radio, and for good reason. Kelvin is the exact opposite of that. He’s authentic. He’s lived it. And he sings it like no one else can.

His rise has been organic — no gimmicks, no bots, just great music and community support. That’s why we’re so honored to recognize him this week. And it doesn’t stop with the radio. Kelvin’s story has been featured in Melodic Playground Magazine, where fans get a deeper look into the man behind the music — his roots, his influences, and his vision for where he’s headed.

In a time when the music industry is flooded with algorithms and imposters, artists like Kelvin remind us why indie music still matters. As bots flood playlists and artificial tracks gain views, we’re doubling down on supporting human artistry — and Kelvin is a shining example of that mission.

Our network is already spreading the word — from local street teams passing out flyers, to social media blasts, to word-of-mouth buzz throughout the independent music community. We’re proud to help carry his voice to the people who need to hear it most.

Kelvin’s songs are for the lovers, the broken-hearted, the dreamers, and the grinders. He’s a voice of the people, bringing soul back to a genre that’s too often overproduced and under-felt. Supporting Jacksonville Band Free Mace

In an age where mainstream music often dominates the airwaves and streaming platforms, it is crucial to support indie bands and artists who bring fresh perspectives, unique sounds, and authentic artistry to the music scene. Indie bands are the lifeblood of the music industry, often setting trends and pushing creative boundaries. As an advocate for organic growth and community support, I am thrilled to introduce you to a remarkable indie band from Jacksonville, Florida: Free Mace. Their new single, "Better Off Bitter," now available on Spotify, exemplifies the talent and passion that independent musicians bring to the table.

Indie bands, short for independent bands, operate without the backing of major record labels. This independence allows them to maintain artistic control over their music, resulting in innovative and original sounds that often contrast sharply with the more commercially driven music produced by major labels. Supporting indie bands is essential for several reasons:

1. Cultural Diversity: Indie bands contribute to the rich tapestry of musical diversity. They explore various genres, fuse different styles, and often address niche audiences with specific tastes. This diversity enriches our cultural landscape and ensures that the music industry remains vibrant and inclusive.

2. Creative Freedom: Without the constraints of commercial pressures, indie bands can experiment and take risks. This creative freedom leads to groundbreaking music that challenges conventions and offers listeners something truly unique.

3. Community and Connection: Indie bands often have a close-knit relationship with their fans and local communities. They perform at smaller venues, engage with their audience on a personal level, and build genuine connections that transcend the typical artist-fan dynamic.

4. Economic Impact: Supporting indie bands also has a positive economic impact on local communities. From local venues and recording studios to merchandise and promotional activities, indie bands generate economic activity and create jobs within their communities.

Free Mace is an indie band from Jacksonville, Florida, that embodies the spirit and resilience of independent music. The band's sound is a refreshing blend of rock, alternative, and indie influences, characterized by powerful vocals, intricate guitar work, and thought-provoking lyrics. Their music resonates with listeners who appreciate depth and authenticity in their musical experience

Free Mace's latest single, "Better Off Bitter," is a testament to their growth as artists and their commitment to producing high-quality music. The song delves into themes of self-discovery, resilience, and the bittersweet nature of life's challenges. With its catchy melody, dynamic instrumentation, and emotionally charged lyrics, "Better Off Bitter" captures the listener's attention from the first note and takes them on a compelling musical journey.

The track showcases the band's ability to craft songs that are not only sonically appealing but also lyrically profound. "Better Off Bitter" is a song that many can relate to, as it explores the complexities of moving on from difficult situations and finding strength in adversity. It is a powerful reminder that sometimes, embracing the bitter moments in life can lead to growth and transformation.

Supporting indie bands like Free Mace is not just about enjoying their music; it's about actively contributing to their success and sustainability. Here are a few ways you can support Free Mace and other indie bands:

1. Stream and Purchase Their Music: Listen to their music on streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Bandcamp. Purchasing their music directly from these platforms or their official website provides them with financial support.

2. Attend Their Shows: Live performances are a significant source of income for indie bands. Attend their concerts, buy tickets, and enjoy the unique experience of live music.

3. Follow and Share: Follow them on social media platforms, share their music with friends and family, and engage with their posts. Word-of-mouth promotion is invaluable for indie bands.

4. Buy Merchandise: Purchase band merchandise such as T-shirts, posters, and albums. Merchandise sales help indie bands generate additional revenue and promote their brand.

5. Engage with Their Community: Join fan clubs, participate in online forums, and become an active part of their community. Your support and enthusiasm can make a significant difference.

In conclusion, supporting indie bands like Free Mace is a powerful way to foster creativity, diversity, and community within the music industry.
