Melodic Playground Radio is located in Riverside and not far away in the underground of Los Angeles — about an hour apart geographically, but worlds apart creatively. I found proof real artists still exist, I live in a space where raw talent outweighs algorithms, and where music is made by human hands, human scars, and human stories. After turning down hundreds of so-called “AI Artists” in 2025, finding something real feels revolutionary.
That’s exactly why we’re ending the year with intention by naming Nate Franchesco as our 42nd Star of the Week.
We recently came across a new track from Nate Franchesco featuring Benji — and let’s be honest, it’s not quite finished yet. It sounds like it might need to go back in the oven for a few more minutes. But here’s the thing: even unfinished, even raw, even imperfect — it has soul. And soul can’t be coded.
In a time when perfection is manufactured and emotion is simulated, Nate and Benji are building something that breathes. Something worth listening to. Something worth waiting for. Something worth protecting.
Nate Franchesco is not new to this. He’s a Los Angeles–based guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and genre-bending artist with over 30 years of experience and an ear so intuitive it feels almost unfair. Nate doesn’t just play instruments — he inhabits them. On many of his tracks, he plays nearly everything himself: guitar, bass, drums, keys, mandolin — you name it. His sound effortlessly weaves together rock, classical, jazz, country, funk, hip hop, and soul without ever feeling forced. It’s fusion done with respect, discipline, and lived experience.
But Nate’s story isn’t just about skill. It’s about resilience.
After undergoing ACDF neck surgery in 2021, many would have slowed down or stepped away. Nate did the opposite. His comeback drew media attention from outlets like KTLA, Voyage L.A., Shoutout L.A., Canvas Rebel, Bold Journey, and EIN Presswire — not because of hype, but because of heart. Despite serious health setbacks, Nate returned stronger, releasing music bi-weekly, managing every aspect of his career independently — from recording and mixing to marketing and distribution.
That independence matters to us.
Nate has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Srbuhi Hovhannisyan (aka Sage from The Voice Armenia), hip hop artist Benji, saxophonist Ivan Rodriguez, and renowned violinist Oleg Bezuglov. His recent EPs, Reflections Volume 1 and the upcoming Guest Pass, showcase his collaborative spirit and genre-spanning curiosity. Whether it’s a jazz-infused lo-fi piece or a hard-hitting fusion groove, Nate delivers music with depth, intention, and authenticity.
You can explore his full discography on Spotify, Apple Music, and his verified YouTube channel, or dive deeper through his official website and Instagram (@Nate_Franchesco). But beyond the links and platforms, what truly sets Nate apart is this: he’s real.
At Melodic Playground Radio, we’ve made our stance clear — no AI artist will ever win a Melodic Playground Music Award. Music is a human exchange, and Nate Franchesco embodies that truth. His collaboration with Benji may still be baking, but it already carries enough heat to light the path forward.
Honestly? I like it so much, I might want to be part of the remix in 2026.
As we close out this year and set the tone for what’s next, Nate Franchesco represents everything we stand for: perseverance, musicianship, originality, and heart. That’s why he’s not just another artist on our radar — he’s our 42nd Star of the Week.
And trust us — this is only the beginning.
